I’m a big fan of using mac. Not only am I a believer in their products, I also am a strong supporter of their philosophy as a company. Apple strives to be unique, while building a quality product (and great marketing). Anyway, here are the best productivity apps for the entrepreneur.

1. Evernote

This app is great to capture your ideas, categorize them, and add to them later. . You can save notes, pdfs, web pages, images, videos, and pretty much anything else you can think of for future use. These notes can then be synced up to all your devices instantly. Best of all, it’s free. This should be on ever entrepreneur’s desktop for sure.

2. Things

Things is a very straightforward app. It allows you to organize you “things” you have to do into order. Whether it be a work project or home project, this is a great app the keep track of all your current ‘to-dos’.  It is a very versatile app ranging from importing calendar events to embedding photos, videos, and data. The major downside to this app is it’s price. Starting in at $49.99, it’s a little on the high side of the cost of a standard app.

 

 

3. Day One

Day One is a simple journel. Although, as we know sometimes simpler is better. It’s a straightforward approach to keeping track of daily tasks, thoughts, and ideas. This is another great app to keep on the desktop at all times. Load it up and start typing. It’s a really simple and intuitive interface. Although it’s not free, it is really cheap. Only $4.99. Definitely worth the price of a meal at Wendy’s.

 

 

 

4. MindNode Pro

This app differentiates itself from the pack as the standard to-do or task management app. MindNode is much more specific in which it allows you to create different “nodes” or webs of ideas. Perfect for an entrepreneur with a new idea of business plan. The app is great and really allows you to visual your ideas before they take form. Worth the look.
